Hi Kruno,

I am happy to hear you are coming this year as well! Are you planning to come directly to the festival, or maybe few days earlier? We have a group of volunteers working on the infrastructure projects the previous week, so we could set up the Dome beforehand, if it's possible.

I try to answer your questions about logistics…

- There is no roads on the island, basically everything is brought to the island with smaller boats… however the coast to coast distance is only about 100meters or so. On the island we can use manpowered carts to transport stuff, the distances are also quite small to the 'base camp'. I think 200 kilos is no problem.

- Tickets Tallinn-Helsinki can be found cheaper, I think Eckerö lines has the cheapest option, but the prices may vary, so you should request prices from them directly, and if possible, reserve them earlier, as the early june might be quite booked due to the beginning of summer vacations.

- To my knowledge, we are collaborating on different subthemes with Finnish society of Bioart http://bioartsociety.fi and Aalto co-p2p SIG: http://co-p2p.mlog.taik.fi/. We are also collaborating, at least unofficially, with Laru art, who will open their enviromental art exhibition on the island on camp sunday http://www.laruart.com/index_en.html . I hope Nathalie will add other relevant collaborations, here if needed. Best, Mikko

  Dear Nathalie and all,
thank you for your email and financial support. We will proceed to gather rest of the founding for the trip now with the help of invitation letter.
  I have few question:
  - what is the arrangement with the boat to the island? Can we take the van over? How much does it cost? If the van cant get over what is logistics to get some 200 kg of material to the camp?
  - we found out that for 4 people and van we need some 300 € for Talin - Helsinki retourn. Do you recommend this as cheapest way?
  - what organizations are involved in the organization of the camp? Is it a network, officially or unofficially.
Some of this info can also help with asking for funding. We are also hoping to have some people from Helsinki to MMkamp in Croatia that will be happening in Lika near city of Gračac this year.
  Best!
  Kruno

> Dear Kruno,

Thank you for getting in touch! Sorry for not replying earlier.
Great to hear that you are up for coming back to Helsinki this year again; and you project sounds fun.
I am forwarding your email to Mikko who will be leading, together with the collective Hellowood (www.hellowood.eu) construction talkoots on the island the week before the festival. Their goal is to build different sustainable wooden infrastructures, including a watchtower, benches, etc.

Here attached an invite letter.
And yes even though you are not from a neighbouring country, we would like to support your travels. So you can count on 150e.

Best regards,

Nathalie

Dear Nathalie and Ville,

hope you are doing fine and all goes well with Pixelache. We did apply for the camp with the project pasted below.

As the dates are nearing, we would like to see if you can send an invitation letter for funding from Cro. We have part of the fund secured, but it is not enough for the whole trip. We still need to secure some 500 to 700 € and all the help is needed. We are coming from Croatia and would like to see if we can still be eligible for Pixelache camp funding even not being from the Baltic region countries.

All the best!

Mobile Art Dome is complete off-the-grid environmental artistic mobile unit. It consists of geodesic dome tent made out of wood and canvas. Participants learn how to assemble a geodesic dome (8 meters in diameter and 3.6 high) and learn basic structure and maths of the dome. When dome is constructed it is open for different usage – evening cinema presenting freedom practices in the world, pirate radio workshop with open microphone, recycling, sprouting, food and health workshops, all included. Dome is electrically powered by solar panels. Assembling is cca 3 hours with 8 participants.
Length of time desired: duration of the camp - first day assemble, last day disassemble. Dome area can be used for other presentations - workshops too.
If workshop/exercise/expedition, for whom, how many participants, prior knowledge required?: For all wiling to learn on transdiciplinary practices, off-grid, DIY, healthy food, small and recycled electronics etc. No prior knowledge needed, tending to everyone's needs, working on mediating collaborative experiences.

Do you wish to ask for regional travel support? (+state how & where from): We are coming from Croatia by van, so all the support would be helpful including financial and invite letter (some 2000 km one way)
