But workers, both in daily practice and<br \/>\norganised struggle, persistently initiate their own, very different<br \/>\nproject. Seeking a secure, full, plenitudinous life that escapes the<br \/>\nreduction to mere labour-power, they set in motion a counter-logic that<br \/>\ndefies capital\u2019s by either forcing up the wage level or lowering the<br \/>\nduration and pace of the working day. These efforts by workers to<br \/>\nreclaim the values they themselves have produced are not merely<br \/>\n\u2019economistic,\u2019 but strike at capital\u2019s intrinsically political command<br \/>\nover labour-power.
