Together we can and do make the university\u00a0work.\u00a0But today this <span style=\"color: #888888;\">university is in crisis<\/span>. The<span style=\"color: #888888;\"> neoliberal restructuring of\u00a0post-secondary education<\/span> seeks to further<span style=\"color: #888888;\"> embed market logic and\u00a0corporate-style management<\/span> into the academy, killing consultation, autonomy\u00a0and collective decision-making. The salaries of university presidents and\u00a0the ranks of administrators swell, but the people the university is\u00a0supposed to serve \u2014 students \u2014 are offered assembly-line education as class\u00a0sizes grow, faculty is over-worked, and teaching positions become\u00a0increasingly precarious.
